We aim for an accessible website that meets the needs and expectations of the visitor, i.e. you. The Museum Speelklok site records general visitor data, without identifying visitors specifically. We analyse this general data in order to improve our website and put more targeted information on the site. In short, we are constantly trying to further optimise our services on the website.

  • Cookies for remarketing: Museum Speelklok uses cookies to provide you with more targeted and relevant information. We may use third-party services to display advertisements. Advertising networks and media agencies act as intermediaries for web shops and advertisers. We (sometimes) use cookies for Google Adwords Conversion Tracking and Facebook Pixel.
  • Third-party cookies: We want to give our visitors the opportunity to share our information via various social media channels. For that reason, there are several social sharing buttons on the Museum Speelklok website which make it easy for you to share the webpage on Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp. These functionalities work using a code that comes from AddThis. It is possible to purchase admission tickets to the museum via the Museum Speelklok website. To process an online ticket purchase properly, a number of details are required. When you purchase a ticket online, we will ask for your first name, surname, telephone number and e-mail address. These details will be stored on Museum Speelklok’s own secure servers or those of a third party. Museum Speelklok works with Global Ticket for the purpose of selling tickets. Via Global Ticket’s system, your data will be displayed for up to one year after purchase after which time it will be anonymised. We will not combine this data with any other personal data we may hold. Also, your data will not be used for other purposes.

You can also sign up for Museum Speelklok’s monthly (digital) newsletter via the website. We send these out via our Mailing List. All that we require for this is an e-mail address. Again, this data is stored on Museum Speelklok’s own secure servers or those of a third party. We will not combine this data with any other personal data we may hold. Also, your e-mail address will not be used for other purposes.

At the bottom of each mailing, you will find the option to unsubscribe from the monthly newsletter.

After visiting Museum Speelklok, we invite you to participate in our visitor survey. During this visitor survey, we collect the following data:

  • Demographic data: age and gender
  • Optional data: postal code, house number, and your expenses during your visit (only if you provide this information voluntarily)
  • Contact details: email address (will only be used for participation in the competition)
  • Survey results: your answers to the questions in the survey

We handle your data confidentially and use it solely for research purposes and to gain insight into our audience and visitors’ opinions. The data is stored on Museum Speelklok’s own secure servers or those of a third party. Your data will be kept as long as necessary for the purposes mentioned above. After that, the data will be securely deleted.

When you send an e-mail or other messages to us, we may store those messages. Sometimes we will ask for your personal details if it is relevant to do so in the particular situation for us to be able to handle your enquiries and respond to your requests. The data will be stored on Museum Speelklok’s own secure servers or those of a third party. We will not combine this data with any other personal data we may hold.
